Our Sedation Services

We use a variety of techniques along with dental sedation to help make patients feel more at ease during dental procedures. Our dentists can help you decide if dental sedation is right for you.

At dentalhouse Victoria Dental Arts, we do what we can to make patients feel relaxed and at ease during their visits. Along with a variety of dental sedation options, we are committed to working at your speed, taking breaks as needed, and providing calm reassurance.

Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas)

Nitrous oxide enables patients to stay awake and communicate. This medication is taken by inhaling it through the nose and mouth. While it reduces anxiety, it also raises the pain threshold, reduces the gag reflex, and helps makes time fly by.

Sedation for Children

When it comes to dental procedures, children, like adults, can experience anxiety or have special needs. When it comes to sedation, children require special consideration, and our dentists are ready to discuss your child's needs and accommodate their unique circumstances.

IV Sedation

This service is temporarily unavailable at this location. Please contact us with any questions.

Without requiring general anesthesia, IV sedatives provide the deepest level of sedation. Our dental team will connect you to a monitor and administer the sedatives directly into your bloodstream through a vein. Throughout the procedure, your vital signs will be monitored.

Oral Sedation

This service is temporarily unavailable at this location. Please contact us with any questions.

This medication is administered orally before a dental appointment. You will be awake during the procedure, but oral sedatives will help to significantly relax you. Oral sedatives in liquid or pill form can be prescribed by your dentist.
