At dentalhouse, we provide patients in Belleville with various denture options, including full and partial dentures, to improve your smile!
What is a denture?
A denture is a removable dental appliance used to replace missing teeth and the surrounding tissue. They are made to closely resemble your natural teeth and may even enhance your smile.
There are two options for dentures. You may require a complete denture or partial dentures.
Complete dentures are used when all of the teeth are missing, while partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain.
A partial denture fill in the spaces where there are missing teeth and prevent remaining teeth from shifting.
Dentures are very durable appliances and will last many years, but may have to be remade, repaired, or readjusted due to normal wear.
Why Might I Need A Denture?
If you have lost all the teeth in your arch, you may require a complete denture.
Partial dentures may be the best option for you if you have lost several teeth in an arch.
You may need a denture if you're interested in enhancing your smile and facial tissues, or if you're looking to improve chewing, speech, and digestion.
What Can I Expect After My Appointment?
It is normal to experience increased saliva flow, some soreness, and possible speech and chewing difficulty following your appointment. This will subside as your muscles and tissues get used to the new dentures.
You will be given care instructions for your new dentures.
Proper cleaning of your new dental appliance, combined with good oral hygiene, and regular visits to our Victoria Dental Arts, Belleville dentists, will aid in the life of your new dentures.
